The Naples Players will host auditions for drama "Distracted" at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. Charles Kolmann will direct. Multiple roles are available, including one young boy age 8-12 and one female teen. Rehearsals begin Feb. 10. "Distracted" runs March 26 - April 19. Kolmann directed "Lend Me A Tenor" for the Naples Players in 2009 and "Twelve Angry Jurors" for the Marco Players in 2012. He also performed in the January 2013 Naples Players production of "Ghost-Writer."

NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players will hold auditions for Distracted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 11 at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5th Avenue South. Appointments are not necessary. Charles Kolmann will direct this comic drama by Lisa Loomer.
The play calls for two men between the ages of 30 – 50, one boy 8 – 12, five women 30 – 55, and one young woman age 16 – 18. An offstage role is available for a female voice (must sound like young boy). Rehearsals for Distracted begin February 10, and will move onstage March 11. Show dates are March 26 through April 19.
When it’s recommended that nine year-old Jesse be moved to a special education classroom, his Mama is on a mission to find out what is going on with her son. After scouring the Internet for answers and consulting numerous doctors and psychiatrists, the probable diagnosis is Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Distracted raises the question of how we expect today’s children to not be hyperactive in this hectic, computerized and distracting world where multi-tasking is considered a prerequisite for success.
