TheatreZone adds two matinees to accomodate ticket demand

TheatreZone opens Season 9 with
"Whistle Down the Wind,"
which runs Jan. 9-19 2014.

TheatreZone announced last week that it had added performances of "Whistle Down the Wind" and "High Society" to meet the strong demand from patrons for its upcoming season.

Both shows have already sold out multiple performances, TheatreZone's artistic director Mark Danni said in a news release. (Seriously, don't wait to get tickets - grab them now!)

"Whistle Down the Wind" adds a matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. "High Society" adds a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, February 15.

Casting: Michael Amante to play Freddie Trumper in TheatreZone's "Chess"

TheatreZone announced Monday that "The People's Tenor" Michael Amante will play Freddie Trumper in their production of "Chess" in March.

Mr. Amante has been crowned the "Prince of High C's" for his remarkable ability to hit and sustain with ease, one of the highest notes of a tenor’s voice.

TheatreZone season auditions Sept. 13, 14 & 15

Equity and non-equity performer auditions (principal/chorus) for the 2013-14 TheatreZone season will be held by appointment from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15.

A special "kid's-only" audition to fill the more than 15 children's roles in "Whistle Down the Wind" will take place from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13.
