Alliance for the Arts releases "Fall for the Arts" performance schedule

Here's the schedule for the Lee County Alliance for the Arts "Fall for the Arts" performance schedule.

Basically, there's lots of fun stuff on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  The event is completely free. There will be live performances, games, art & craft stations, a dunk tank and face painting.  Families will be able to explore Florida Rep’s Costume Trunk, Gulf Coast Symphony’s mini Musical Discovery Zone and the Southwest Florida Symphony’s Instrument Petting Zoo. There's also something call Trooper the Blind Raccoon.

Alliance Announces FALL FOR THE ARTS Performance Schedule

FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 3, 2013) — Come celebrate the changing season with your family and friends at the Alliance for the Arts on Saturday, October 19 during Fall for the Arts 2013.  This annual FREE family festival features live performances, games, art & craft stations, a dunk tank and face painting! Families will be able to explore Florida Rep’s Costume Trunk, Gulf Coast Symphony’s mini Musical Discovery Zone, the Southwest Florida Symphony’s Instrument Petting Zoo, and Trooper the Blind Raccoon will be back by popular demand. And kids can participate in the Fall for the Arts Creativity Contest, and one lucky student will win a free week of art camp!

There will be dozens of booths, with artists displaying & demonstrating their work, as well as cultural organizations presenting their upcoming seasons. Food and beverages will be available.

Participating organizations include: Acoustic Music Society of SWFL, ArtFest Fort Myers, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, Community Youth Chorus, Cultural Park Theater, Ding Darling, Florida Rep, Gulf Coast Symphony, Gulf Coast Writers Association, Imaginarium Science Center, Jungle House Publications, Little Miss Etiquett, Madieros Studios, North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts, Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, SWFL Florida Symphony, SWFL Fine Craft Guild and the Symphonic Chorale of SWFL.

Participating artists include: David Arrowsmith, Jen Byer, Lori Denney, Karen Hubbard, Kelly Jumper, Joel Loeper, Lynn Martindale, Alice Melzer, Kelly Muselman, Diana Ripoll, John Swank, Christina Thompson, Andrea Trank, James Usavage and Erma Woodis.

The Alliance for the Arts proudly supports artists and arts organizations in our area as the state designated Local Arts Agency for Lee County. The Alliance campus and galleries are open to the public from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays, located at 10091 McGregor Boulevard just south of Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
