Here's the press release for Florida Rep's "Wild Winter Arts Camps." Like, I wish I could have done such fun things when I was little.

Complete press release below.

Enrollment Now Open for Wild Winter Arts Camps!

Florida Rep and the Alliance for the Arts are pleased to announce that enrollment is now open, and slots are filling up for Wild Winter Arts Camps for students ages 5-17!

Four fun-filled sessions offer something for every student! The two-day intensive camps run Dec 23-Jan 3 and will allow students to experience a wide variety of theatre fun!

"These camps are a great way for students to spend some time immersed in the arts this winter break” said Education Director Claire Simpson, “We understand that schedules can be tight during the holidays. Our two-day format is great for busy families. Join us for one or all four!"

Session 1: Clown Town runs December 23 & 24 and is focused on mime and physical storytelling, and even features costume building where students will create their own clown wardrobe! Get serious about clowning around with this session.

Session 2: Music Theatre Mania is a two-day music theatre intensive on December 26 & 27. Learn the moves and notes to Broadway's classic numbers, and dive into theatre painting techniques used by Scenic Artists in the same session!

Session 3: Ka-Pow will help students find their inner superhero (or villain!) on December 30 & 31st! Explore comic book storyboarding and artistry and work on scenes and songs from classic comic book stories.

Session 4: Think Outside the Box is on January 2 & 3 and incorporates scenes, songs, artwork and dance to create a unique theatrical experience! Imagination, improv games and a little guidance from our instructors will help students find the artist, actor, and choreographer in them!

In each two-day camp session, students will work with professional performing and visual artists. Classes include music, dance, drama and visual art where campers get a taste of the world of professional arts and still have plenty of time for fun! Space is limited, and both Florida Rep and the Alliance encourage parents to act quickly.

Enrollment is $80 per two-day session. Presented by Florida Rep and hosted on the Alliance campus, camps are from 9am-4pm. Drop-off begins at 8:30am, and pick-up is between 4-4:15pm. Post-camp care is available until 5pm for an additional $5 per day.

To enroll, visit Florida Rep's Education Department online at www.FloridaRepEducation.org, or by calling 239-332-4665x36
