Artis–Naples added three new board members, including Hertz CEO Mark Frissora, the organization confirmed Wednesday.

Frissora serves as the Chairman and CEO of Hertz, which announced May 7 that it would relocate its worldwide headquarters to Estero. According to the 2012 Hertz annual report, the most recent available, Frissora also sits on the board of directors of Walgreen Company and Delphi Automotive Group. Frissora has owned a home in Naples for several years.

Frissora has lead Hertz for the past six years. Under his tenure, the company launched  "Living Journey," a global sustainability strategy aimed at reducing the firm's global environmental footprint through recycling and renewable energy initiatives at its more than 8,500 locations in 150 countries around the world

Also joining Frissora as new board members are Nolan (Lanny) Baird, the CEO of Kensington Capital Management and Joseph Tompkins. Tompkins and his wife Toshiko own the Naples Academy of Ballet. In addition to his arts background, Tompkins brings 25 years of experience with Morgan Stanley.

"It is an honor to have a board comprised of such talented, dedicated members of our community," Artis–Naples CEO Kathleen van Bergen said in a prepared news release.

The trio will join the Board this fall at its first meeting of the 2013-14 season.

“Artis—Naples is honored to welcome Lanny, Mark and Jay as new Board members," board chairman Ned Lautenbach said in a news release. "Each one provides diverse perspectives and experiences that will provide tremendous benefits."
