13th Annual Comedy Cabaret to benefit Friends of Foster Children of SWFL

(October 16, 2013 - Naples, Florida) – The Friends of Foster Children of Southwest Florida (FFC) is proud to announce the 13th Annual Comedy Cabaret will be held on Saturday, December 7th at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club, 851 Gulfshore Boulevard North in Naples. Tickets to the event are $175.00 per person and sponsorships are still available starting at $2500.00.

The Hollywood-style cabaret will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 pm then a cabaret-style dinner and silent and live auctions, followed by two featured comedians: Cory Kahaney and Ted Alexandro.

Cory Kahaney is every woman, mother, daughter, wife -- ex-wife. You have seen her on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Later with Carson Daly. Her off-Broadway hit The J.A.P. Show ran for six months in New York City and continues to tour the country under a new name, The Princesses of Comedy.

Ted Alexandro will join Kahaney in the show.

The Comedy Cabaret, launched in 2001, was created by Les Schultzel, M.D., a founding member of FFC. With the support of his daughter, who is a leading talent agent in Los Angeles, top comedians from America's best comedy clubs perform "gratis" for the event. The entertainment rivals anything to be found in New York or the West Coast.

Major sponsors for this event include Arthrex and the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida with the Naples Daily News as the media sponsor.

Funds raised from the event will support the mission of the FFC and its many programs. The mission is to provide abused, neglected and abandoned children in Southwest Florida with the social, educational and financial support the state does not. FFC, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, focuses on filling in the gaps in the state system. FFC’s support ranges from tutoring or after-school programs to enrichment activities that nurture the child’s talents and passions.
